Event Description

***This camp is FULL and no longer accepting additional riders or auditors.

This well structured eventing camp will take place at the beautiful Sandy River Equestrian Center in Axton, Virginia! Confirmed instructors include Karen and David O’Connor, and Cathy Wieschhoff. Campers rotate among all instructors and ride in small groups to ensure each student receives individualized attention. Top level grooms, who assist with horsemanship and lectures, will be available to answer questions regarding stable management and horse care.

Riding fee includes stabling for one horse, breakfast, lunch, two dinners, and daily SWAG. Auditors must pre-register for the whole week to receive all meals and daily SWAG. Daily and last minute auditors receive only meals.

Waiver/Release :

I understand that riding horses is a high-risk sport and I am participating at my own risk. I hereby assume this risk and further do hereby release and hold harmless the organizers, instructors, agents, volunteers, and hosts of the O'Connor Equestrian Camp and the owners of any property on which the O'Connor Equestrian Camp is to be held, from all liability for negligence resulting in accidents, damage, injury, or illness to myself or my property, including the horse I am riding at the O'Connor Equestrian Camp.

BY SUBMITTING THIS ENTRY, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable rules, terms, and provisions for this clinic. I am signing and submitting this Agreement electronically, and I acknowledge that my electronic signature shall have the same validity, force, and effect as if I affixed my signature by my own hand.

Refund/Changes Policy :

Once entry has been submitted, no substitutions without organizer’s prior written approval. IF spot can be filled, full refund less fees.

Ride Times :

Campers should plan to arrive on Monday after 1:00 p.m., and to depart by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Daily Schedule

8:00 - 8:30 Breakfast
8:30 - 11:30 Morning Lecture, Morning Sessions
11:30 - 1:30 Lunch Break, May Include Guest Lecturer
1:30 - 3:30 Afternoon Session
4:30 - 5:30 Lecture to Wrap Up the Day

The schedule is tentative and may
change based on camp participants
and weather.

Stabling Information :

One stall provided per entry, included in rider fee.

Hay, Grain, Shavings Information :

Riders to provide their own feed and grain. Shavings provided.

Coggins Policy :

Must provide to organizer a copy of negative Coggins, within 12 months.

If scanned copy is available, upload it to your horse's profile and it will be included when you submit your entry through Blue Horse Entries. For questions about uploading your Coggins, you can contact Blue Horse Entries at 859-493-2125 or ridewithus@bluehorseentries.com.

Attire Policy :

Collared shirts. Jackets and braiding not required. Must wear certified helmets at all times while mounted.

Medical Arm Bands :

Must wear medical arm band or bracelet at all times while mounted.

Food and Drink :

Breakfast, lunch, and two dinners included in fee for all riders.

Auditors receive breakfast and lunch.

Parking :

Follow signs for onsite parking.

Area Hotels :

Bunk style lodging may be available on site for riders; this lodging option is limited, and available on a first come, first serve basis. Hotels, located in Danville, are a mere 20 minute drive from the farm.

Other :

Riders, please note any dietary restrictions or preferences on your entry.
