Event Description

*****8/11/2020 DUE TO THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES, THIS SHOW HAS CLOSED EARLY AND WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY MORE RIDERS. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ENTERED EARLY. PLEASE CONTINUE TO WATCH FOR MORE RIDING OPPORTUNITIES THIS YEAR.

Combined Tests and Event Derbies -- all classes consist of a dressage test and a jumping test. $5 from EVERY entry will be put into a Cash Payback for every class with more than 3 entries -- 60% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, 15% for third. Ribbons per class through 6th. Best Score CT and Best Score Derby ribbons.

Combined Test levels -- Tadpole (walk/trot, 12" jumps) through Preliminary (3'7") -- all include a dressage test and a show jumping round in the sand arena.
Event Derby levels -- Green As Grass (18"), Starter (2'3"), Beginner Novice (2'7") and Novice (2'11") -- all include a dressage test and a jump round consisting of both show jumps and cross country fences.
Distances noted in class list are approximate.

Dressage tests at all levels may be read. Unauthorized assistance in either phase except dressage test reading is not allowed above Tadpole level.

Scoring: Dressage tests will be scored as normal, and converted to penalty points. Scoring for CT jump rounds will be scored normally per Eventing rules for the stadium phase. Scoring for Derby jump rounds will be scored as follows: 10 points for any refusal or run out. 4 points for any rail knocked down on a show jump. .4 points per second will be added for going over the Optimum time. Elimination will occur at the 3rd refusal at any single fence, or 5th refusal over the whole course, or for exceeding the Time Allowed. Mandatory retirement for any fall of horse (see Eventing rules for definition of a fall) or fall of rider.

Join us for a fun, laid back combined test, and our first event derby show.
