Please join us for a day of horses, family, food, and fun! Will have jumping and non-jumping courses. This is a fun day in the Iroquois Hunt country. Great cross-country school or just a fun ride over the countryside.
Potluck Tailgate Wagon: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Invite your friends and family, and bring something for everyone to share.
Registration: Opens at 8:30 a.m. First horses may be on course at 9:00 a.m.
REQUEST YOUR RIDE TIME: Riding will be in teams of two to four riders. When submitting your entry online, under "Special Instructions", list your team members (who also must submit their own entry in advance), and your team's requested ride time, and we will do our best to accommodate -- especially if trailering-in from outside the Lexington area. If enter in advance, requested ride times will be confirmed to you by email. For those not requesting a specific ride time, and/or those not entering in advance, your order of go and team of riders will be listed when you have approval from the secretary, and check-in with the starting steward. The course closes at 1:00 p.m.
All advance entries submitted online. Entries will also be accepted the day of the event upon check-in with secretary, and will be subject to an additional $10 LATE FEE.
Maps: Available upon check-in with secretary. Jump judges and outriders will be posted and available throughout the course for additional navigational help when needed.
HUNTER PACE: Timed event with a predetermined time as may mimic a day of hunting in warmer weather. (Not fast.) A total of 14 hunt coops, ranging from 2'6" to 3'3" in height; gates optional. Includes crossing stream. May jump the last jump together and have photo taken.
HILLTOPPER PACE: No jumping required. Must open and close gates. Includes crossing small stream. Go at your own pace. Predetermined time set as may mimic a day of hilltopping.
LEAD LINE CLASS: For those future foxhunters wanting to show their skills. Class will be held in front of tailgate wagon at 12:00 p.m.
DOG COSTUME CLASS: Dress your dog up in their Sunday best (or worst)! No fee. Register by 12:30 p.m., and will be judged at 1:00 p.m. in front of tailgate wagon. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
All classes may be broken down into several divisions, including adult, juniors, and family pairs. Ribbons given to winners as well as best turned out, best matching pair, slowest pace, etc.
