Event Description

Hunters, Dressage, Combined Tests, Trails and even a $500 Gambler's Choice will be showcased for our first Annual Charity Open Show; 100% of all proceeds will be benefiting The Truett's Children Home. The gorgeous show grounds offer the entire family a great day with wooded trails to hike or ride, deep ponds to swim, and cold clear creeks to fish. Off site stabling will be available as well as limited on site guest cottage and hookups for those wanting to stay the night. No charge for tent camping!

ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY. If you are new to Blue Horse Entries, you will first need to create a rider account. If you are a parent/guardian for a rider under 18, you will need to create an account for yourself, and add your rider to your account. It's fast and simple! Entries will be permitted until midnight Eastern Time on the Close Date, and until midnight Eastern Time on the Late Entry Date.

Competitions and Levels

#1 - Dressage: Two tests of your choice $50.00

Note: USEF intro through level 2. Ride any TWO dressage tests. Percentage class only, and must be in small arena. Must state in Special Instructions which dressage tests to be ridden.

#2 - Dressage: USEF Western Dressage $25.00

Note: WDAA tests. Ride any western dressage test, and you may enter more than one. Percentage class only, and must be in small arena. Must state in Special Instructions which dressage test to be ridden.

#7 - Jumping: walk/trot through non pro $50.00

Note: All hunter divisions will have 4 classes with appropriate height of jumps/poles appropriate. See showbill under Download Flyer for complete list of classes. Must state in Special Instructions which class you want to enter. May enter more than one.

#8 - Jumping: jumps set at hunter or CT height $40.00

Note: Gambler's Choice is a jumper course set at appropriate heights and offer's prize money for top three riders. Entry in at least one other class or division is required, and needs minimum of five riders for full prize money.

#9 - Classic: test your horses obedience and bravery $20.00

Note: Trails is a course ridden English or Western that tests the obedience of horse to move through natural (ditches, drops) and man-made obstacles (steps, hanging streamers). It is on a timer, and requires horse to be brave and rideable. Course and judge is national champ mustang challenge trainer, Josh Peebles.

#10 - Classic: more challenging including open ditches, drops and other obstacles $20.00

Note: Trails is a course ridden English or Western that tests the obedience of horse to move through natural (ditches, drops) and man-made obstacles (steps, hanging streamers). It is on a timer, and requires horse to be brave and rideable. Course and judge is national champ mustang challenge trainer, Josh Peebles.

there will be a 10 minute warm up before each hunter division begins

off site about 1 mile down the road

Coggins Policy :

To upload your Coggins for your ONLINE entry, from your Blue Horse Entries account, go to your virtual barn under the Horses tab, where you can either Add Horse (if new) or Edit Horse (if existing). COGGINS CAN ALSO BE MAILED TO SHOW SECRETARY BUT MUST BE IN OFFICE BEFORE DEADLINE

Attire Policy :

ALL english riders must wear ASTM approved helmet while riding.
riders must be in sleeved, collared shirts but jackets will be waived for summer show.

Food and Drink :

Food Truck will be on site

Special Directions :

Best way in with trailer in tow is Tusquittee Rd from the west, either from Hayesville town square or Downings Creek Rd.

Other :

Please leave pets at home. If dogs are on property, they must be leased for the safety of everyone.
