Event Description

Huntington Farm has been hosting recognized horse trials for over 50 years. The competition is set on 205 acres in the scenic valley of South Strafford, Vermont. Our cross country course ranges from Elementary to Preliminary and features rolling hills and beautiful galloping terrain!

Waiver/Release :

A properly signed 2021 USEA Horse Trials and Classic Series (R2017) Events Entry Form must be uploaded and provided for each horse. If you need a copy, go to www.useventing.com/competitions, or you can you can find under "Download Flyer" tab for this listing. We only need the signature page filled out - page 2.

Refund/Changes Policy :

All changes $20 and must be emailed.

Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee. After C.D Entry/Stabling - No Refund. Competition cancellation-No refund.
USEA Starter/D&M Fees and COVID-19 Recovery Fee Refund Policy: The USEA Starter/D&M fees ($25), and COVID-19 Recovery Fee ($5) are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

All entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. USEA current membership (Junior, Collegiate, Full or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at all levels. USEF current membership if applicable (please check).

ONLINE entries accepted through Blue Horse Entries. If you are new to Blue Horse Entries, you will first need to create a rider account. If you are a parent/guardian for a rider under 18, you will need to create an account for yourself, and add your rider to your account. It's fast and simple! Schooling Instructions :

Cross Country course closed for schooling on June 19th.

Stabling Information :

Limited. Perm. stalls 0-10 miles from the event. $45/stall/night.
Stabling assigned based on date of entry. Bring your own bedding. Please strip your stalls before departure.

Hay, Grain, Shavings Information :

Nothing available for purchase on farm.

Coggins Policy :

Neg. Coggins required for all horses within 12 months; must accompany entry.

Medical Arm Bands :

Medical Armbands must be worn for all jumping phases. Medical bracelets do not work here.

New Rule:MEDICAL CARDS/MEDICAL BRACELETS. To ensure that vital information is available to medical personnel in the
case of emergency, competitors must comply with the following:
a. It is mandatory that Competitors include the telephone number of an emergency contact on the entry form.
b. Declaration of medical condition. Competitors with medical conditions that may be relevant in case of a medical
emergency are responsible for wearing either a medical data carrier (Medical data carrier: a small emblem or
tag worn on a bracelet, neck chain, or on the clothing, intended to alert medical personnel/physicians that the
wearer has an important medical condition) or a medical armband at every event while riding. Alternatively (and
at minimum) a medical armband can be used. Conditions that are relevant include recent head injury, serious
past injuries/surgery, chronic health problems such as diabetes, long-term medications and allergies. If in doubt,
the Competitor should discuss this with his/her own treating physician. BOD 6/22/20 Effective 12/1/20

Robin Jaccaci B&B-next door. (802) 765-4822. There are many AirBnB offerings nearby and several lovely B&Bs (within 15 miles) in nearby Lyme, NH, Norwich, VT, and Hanover, NH. Dowd's Country Inn - 14miles (603)-795-4712. The Lyme Inn - 14 miles (603)795-4824.

In addition there are many hotel/motel options in White River Junction, Vt (20 miles) and Quechee, Vt (19 miles) Close to restaurants and shopping.

Other :

Cross-country course closed June 19th. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Food on grounds. No dogs, please - any dog brought to competition must be secured in parking field at all times. Bicycles, scooters etc are advised as the farm is very spread out, but not allowed on the x-ctry course once the competition has started. Pinney holders are necessary, numbers will be provided.
Cell phone coverage is unreliable in Vermont, and nonexistent at Huntington. EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.
