Event Description

Octoberfest Mini Trial, Combined Tests and Dressage show will offer starter through Novice Mini Trial divisions, Ground Poles through Preliminary Combined Test divisions and will offer Dressage % classes accepting standard USEF and USEA tests as well as Western and Gaited dressage tests. We will also offer an Optimum Time Cross-Country challenge at the end of the show.
This fall event is great for green horses just starting out or the more advanced horses looking to move up a level.
NEW! We will have a stall decorating contest. Prize for the individual or group with the most Spooktacular (or tacky) decorations.
COSTUME CONTEST! Judging will take place on both Saturday and Sunday. All riders are eligible, and you may wear your costume for any class, including dressage. Awards will be presented at the show office both days. Riders must come to the office and show the secretary your costume.
All dressage and stadium will take place on Saturday with Cross Country on Sunday.
SPECIAL CLASS! CROSS COUNTRY OPTIMUM TIME CHALLENGE: Ride over the show course at Starter, Beginner Novice and Novice. May ride individually or as a team of two riders. The winner is the individual or team that crosses the finish line closest to the optimum time. USEA jumping faults and penalties count throughout. A team may get up to 10 bonus/style points for jumping the last fence together. Teams must change leader at least two times throughout the course. NO WATCHES OR TIMING DEVICES ALLOWED! We are a TIP registered show. Include your horse's TIP number under special instructions.

I hereby assume this risk and further do hereby release and hold harmless Champagne Run Farm, Inc. and its employees and representatives, the organizer(s), volunteers, judges, officials, sponsors and any other show staff or affiliates from all liability for any accident, damage, injury, illness or any other harms that may befall any horses, riders, employees, attendants, spectators or any person or property of owners in connections with this show while on or off the premises.
Warning: Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury of participation in farm animal activities. There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities - KRS 247.4072 (parent or legal guardian must sign if rider is under age 18).
BY SUBMITTING THIS ENTRY, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable rules, terms and conditions and provisions for this event. I am signing and submitting this entry electronically, and I acknowledge that my electronic signature shall have the same validity, force and effect as if I affixed my signature by my own hand.

Entry Status :

May be checked at champagnerun.com or at startboxscoring.com. It is the rider's responsibility to check and make sure the horse and rider are listed in the correct division before closing date. If secretary is not notified until after closing date, a $55 late change fee will apply. All correspondence concerning submitted entries should be sent by email to the show secretary, Nancy Clinkinbeard at nanclink56@gmail.com.

Ride Times :

Will be posted the Wednesday prior to the show at Champagne Run website: champagnerun.com or at startboxscoring.com
All show updates and notices will be on the Champagne Run website.

Schooling Instructions :

Cross country schooling on Sunday after the show, schedule/weather permitting. Everyone must sign up at the show office, get a schooling pinney and sign a waiver. Cost is $35 for horse/rider in the show, $50 for non-competitors.

Stabling Information :

Stabling requests must be made on your entry. Please put any stable requests under special instructions. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests. Please state on stable entry who you wish to be stabled with.
Regular and tack stalls available for Friday and Saturday nights. Non-stabled ground fee is $50.
When you pay for a night of stabling that pays for the next day as well. If you pay for Saturday night do not need to pay for Sunday day.
Any Thursday early arrivals or Sunday night stay over must contact the show secretary to arrange. The fee for Thursday or Sunday night is $60.

Hay, Grain, Shavings Information :

Not provided by the show. Must bring your own or call Devers at the park at 859-459-9586 to arrange for shavings or hay.

Golf Cart Rental :

Available thru Devers at 859-459-9586. Suggest ordering early as the National Horse Show is at the park as well.

Coggins Policy :

Negative Coggins required within 12 months. Must have a current health certificate and coggins on hand at the show.

Attire Policy :

Jackets are waived, braiding not required. Must have a certified helmet on at all times when mounted and wear protective vest for cross country (competition and schooling). Show will provide paper numbers for cross country. Riders need to provide pinney holder.

Medical Arm Bands :

Must wear at all times for stadium and cross country.

Food and Drink :

Available on the grounds.

Special Directions :

Kentucky Horse Park: 4089 Ironworks Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511. The Park is north of Lexington at exit 120 on I-75. Follow signs to park. Enter main gate and follow signs to stables.

Parking :

Parking has changed. You must follow signs and park only in permitted areas.
