After submitting your entry, participants will receive a link to submit a video for this event to the email address associated with their Blue Horse Entries account.

We are thrilled for you to join us (virtually!) for Blue Horse’s first-ever Virtual Dressage Show! We are on a mission to increase the accessibility of equestrian sports, and this is our next step in bringing riding opportunities straight to your barn door. From the comfort of your own arena, compete and get feedback from a registered Dressage judge. This is the first event in the new Blue Horse Virtual Event Series. Event Details

Policies

Helmets and proper footwear MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. ALL riders in ARE REQUIRED to wear a ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) or BSI approved helmet, with safety harness correctly fastened.

Show attire is not required; however, correct schooling attire appropriate for your discipline is expected. 

Blue Horse Entries does not offer any refunds after an entry has been submitted unless Blue Horse Entries cancels the event in its entirety. 


Refunds are not given for participants who fail to submit videos within the submission window (between the Open Date and the Close Date), nor for participants who fail to meet the rules for video submission and participation. Participants are encouraged to submit videos as early as possible during the submission window; the Blue Horse Entries team will work to review each video as it is submitted to ensure compliance with requirements and may contact participants with the opportunity to resubmit if requirements are not initially met. Any resubmissions must happen within the submission window before the Close Date. 


In the event of a cancelled virtual competition, participants who have submitted and paid for entries will be given the option of receiving a refund or a credit to a future Blue Horse Entries virtual event. Credits are only applicable for other Blue Horse Entries virtual events, and are not applicable for in person events or events organized by other users of the Blue Horse Entries platform. 


In the event of a horse or rider injury that prevents the participants from recording and submitting their video(s), participants may contact Blue Horse Entries at contactus@bluehorseentries.com prior to the closing date of the event to receive a credit for a future Blue Horse Entries virtual event. Credits are only applicable for other Blue Horse Entries virtual events, and are not applicable for in person events or events organized by other users of the Blue Horse Entries platform. 

Release & Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement:


PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ENTRY.

By checking the box and clicking “I Agree,” you are entering into a legally binding Release of Liability with Blue Horse Entries LLC (“BHE”) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, owners, employees, judges, volunteers, contractors, and agents (the “Released Parties”).


1. Assumption of Risk – Equine Activities

I understand that equestrian activities are inherently dangerous and involve serious risks, including injury, permanent disability, or death. Risks include but are not limited to unpredictable horse behavior, equipment failure, rider error, and hazards of the environment. I voluntarily assume these risks.


2. Waiver and Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I waive, release, and discharge the Released Parties from all liability, including claims based on ordinary negligence, arising from my participation in any activities, events, or services provided by BHE, whether virtual or in-person. This does not waive claims of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional acts where such waiver is prohibited by law.


3. Equine Activity Liability Acts (EALAs)

I understand that certain states have Equine Activity Liability Acts which limit liability for equine professionals. This release is intended to be interpreted as broadly as permitted by those laws.

NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS: Under state law, an equine professional is not liable for injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.


4. Indemnification

I agree to defend and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my participation or from claims brought by third parties related to my actions.


5. Minors

If I am registering a participant under 18, I represent that I am the parent or legal guardian and consent to this Release on their behalf. I further agree to indemnify the Released Parties against claims brought by or on behalf of the minor, to the extent permitted by law.


6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of [State where BHE is based]. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration before the American Arbitration Association, and I waive any right to a jury trial.


7. Acknowledgment

By submitting an entry for an event organized by Blue Horse Entries LLC, I confirm that I:

Have read and understood this Release;

Understand I am waiving substantial legal rights;

Agree to be bound by its terms.

Other

Dressage scores delivered virtually (PDF format emailed to email address associated with entry). Ribbons for 1st through 6th place will be mailed to riders at the address associated with their Blue Horse Entries account.


Points toward Year-End Awards:

1st place: 8 points

2nd place: 6 points

3rd place: 5 points

4th place: 4 points

5th place: 3 points

6th place: 2 points

7th - 10th place: 1 point
